The Auckland Executive Club Code of Conduct
Upholding the mana (respect, strength and intrinsic worth) of our wāhine (women) and our community.
Our Guiding Principles
The Auckland Executive Club exists to support and uplift women in leadership. As members, we each contribute to the wairua (spirit) of the club and uphold the following values:
- Manaakitanga – we show kindness, respect, and care for one another.
- Kotahitanga – we foster unity and shared purpose, honouring diverse perspectives.
- Whanaungatanga – we build relationships based on trust, connection, and mutual support.
- Pūkengatanga – we value learning, growth, and excellence in our shared journeys.
- Rangatiratanga – we act with integrity, take responsibility, and lead with purpose.
Member Expectations
As members of The Auckland Executive Club, we agree to:
- Treat all members, guests, and speakers with respect and generosity of spirit.
- Listen with empathy, speak with care, and honour the voices of others.
- Welcome new members and foster a culture of belonging.
- Keep our club spaces (online and in person) safe, inclusive, and uplifting.
- Respect confidentiality and privacy.
- Engage in conversations that build, support, and inspire.
Unacceptable Behaviour
The following behaviours are not aligned with our values and may result in removal from the club:
- Harassment, bullying, or exclusionary behaviour of any kind.
- Dismissive, disrespectful, or demeaning language or actions.
- Misuse of the club to promote personal agendas or profit at others’ expense.
- Breach of confidentiality or trust.
- Aggressive or pressure-based sales tactics. While we celebrate each other’s ventures and welcome genuine connection, the club is a space for support, not solicitation. Members should feel safe from any unwanted or high-pressure sales approaches.
Accountability
We hold ourselves and one another, gently yet firmly, accountable. If concerns arise, they may be raised with the committee. Serious or repeated breaches of this Code may constitute misconduct, which will be investigated and resolved in accordance with the Dispute Resolution sub-section (Clauses 43-50) of the Club’s Constitution.
