The Auckland Executive Club membership is aimed at women in senior management,
the professions, business owners and people with specialist skills.
We place emphasis on encouragement, sharing good news,
hearing positive and dynamic speakers, and enthusiastically supporting all
members who are making a difference in the business community. Extending
friendship and support is what we are all about. Read
more about us here >>
We welcome new faces at every meeting, and look forward
to welcoming many more. Our aim is to inspire, encourage and lift the
thinking of what women can do. Each speaker will vary in style and format
but essentially we want our members to walk on air when they leave, knowing
they can reach greater heights.
Objectives
- To encourage networking across the professions.
- To provide an opportunity for women from diverse
backgrounds to meet, share ideas and enjoy each other's friendship and
company.
- To co-ordinate monthly networking meetings with the
emphasis on business promotion.
- To sponsor
one or two women each year with the aim of boosting their careers - see
Career
Boost.
Meetings
These are usually held once a month, are informal
and take place over dinner at Parnells
on the Rose Garden. Speakers are a feature of most evenings, and
the starting time is 6pm (details are always given in the monthly e-zine),
or view them here.
The structured part of the evening is usually over by
9.00-9.30pm, although anyone wishing to stay on and get to know people
will always have company.
Make sure you come with an ample supply of business

"When
I first came to the club I was very new to New Zealand. I knew basically
nobody in the country and I was searching for employment. Not a very
nice situation to be in, as you can imagine.
I was surprised by the nice way I was welcomed right from the start
when I came to along. The club was beautifully lightened and the roses
were still blossoming outside in the garden along my way.
Lucy introduced me to some of the members and the evening started
pleasantly from the very beginning. I got to know a lot of very nice,
interesting and helpful women this evening. Some gave me with advice
on my job search, others even referred me to recruiters they knew.
I loved the evening at the club, the company, the chat, and the
contacts I made. It was the first day where I felt myself welcomed
in New Zealand, and I started to see things more positive.
Now 2 months later I am employed as a senior portfolio manager
at BNZ, a job I really enjoy.
I can only recommend the club to every woman who wants to spend
a nice evening with “positive side effects” on their business
life."
