July 2010 Dinner Meeting

Paul Meyer

Keynote speaker and published author Paul Meyer is passionate about enthusing, embracing and engaging people to reach their full potential.

As his business logo prmeyer.com enthuser suggests he is an enthusiast for life.

From 20 years in banking and succeeding as a bank manager, Paul experienced redundancy in 1989.

He chose self employment and founded Full Potential Services, the development specialists. 20 years later he has enormous experience in referral networking, creating business success, effective human resource solutions, early childhood education and career trends.

He carries a wealth of knowledge after 40 years in business circles. After corporate life Paul brought a franchise and built up 1200 clients. Since then he’s operated and sold a pre-school education centre, started 10 new BNI chapters, launched 5 new business ventures, conducted pre-retirement training, grown a business 60% as a national marketing manager, written and presented 36 week NZQA management courses, held a recruitment license, trained as a health and safety consultant and become an expert in word of mouth referral marketing.

Paul met BNI, the world’s leading business referral organisation, in 2001 after it had only been in New Zealand for 2 years. Today with his wife Rosemary they are Assistant Directors for BNI East and South Auckland. Paul has been a Director for over 7 years including a 4 year concurrent term as Regional Director for Northland. They currently oversee 12 BNI chapters with 240 business members.

In 2006 Paul launched, with a co-author his book The Naked Career. Published in USA this personal development book and career guide helps to reveal your life journey. Around this time he also served 3 years as an executive member and national treasurer for the Early Childhood Council of New Zealand. After some life changing events he then discovered his passion for keynote speaking on enthusiasm.

He is qualified with FINSIA, the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and lives at Bucklands Beach. He and Rosemary have a grown family of four children, three grand children and enjoy sailing the Waitemata Harbour on their yacht Edge of Tyme. Paul’s other interests include social networking, golf, fishing and genealogy.
